My Thoughts: Oh Renee! A going-blind hero? I've been craving one (is that bad? odd? not normal?) since reading Teresa Medeiros' Yours Until Dawn! I know this book will be smashing! And not just because the housekeeper's named after moi ;) I am currently re-beginning Ecstasy Wears Emeralds after my grandmother 'borrowed' it while I was in the middle of it. But this author has the goods. I knew 3 chapters in she was good and I can't wait to revisit Emeralds, catch up with Rubies and Sapphires, and then ATTACK Pearls ...all while eagerly awaiting Opals ;) And if any of you are wondering what the hell I am talking about, just check out Renee Bernard and get back to me ;)

My Thoughts: Tessa Dare is an author who's works I became aquainted with last year. I JUST took this book out from my local library, and with all the hype surrounding it, I can't WAIT to crack it open!

My Thoughts: I loved the first book in this series. 'Promise Me Tonight' ends where this book begins and if theres nothing I love more than chocolate, it's a recluse hero with a dark past and his heart padlocked. Olivia was so much fun in Book 1 of the Weston series, and I know that she will be the heroine we love to love in her own book. Can't wait to read this one!

My Thoughts: I haven't read a Connie Brockway, but I'd love to start with her The Rose Hunters series. This is the last book (as of now- I think) and perfect incentive for me to pick up the first book,'My Pleasure'. You guys know I love a war hero ;), and the plot looks yummy! It's on the radar for-sure.

My Thoughts: I just couldn't resist! lol! Not Another Romance Blog, Not Another New Years.. well actually, this is the blog's first New Year's, but I can't wait to spend it with you guys! This book looks real interesting. It strays from my norm of historical romance, but something tells me theres enough heat to pacify me! Lonely girl (that's me) spies hottie at the bar (that's Sam Worrington) and the hook up on New Year's Eve? Yep, sounds like my yearly fantasy! My Thoughts: I love T-Meds! LOL! I am currently reading this book (finally) while simultaneously reading 'The Vampire Who Loved Me'! I am in love with this author. (Oh, and I am counting down the seconds until 'Goodnight Tweetheart' comes out!!!!!! This particular book looks like it has the classic Scottish laird getting his bride stolen by another laird/warrior sex-man! I can't wait to see the relationship develop between the captive and her captor!

My Thoughts: Anyone who knows me, knows I am a HUGE Gone With The Wind fan. Ever since I saw the movie as a young child, I've determined that a Civil War romances are the best.(And yes, I am one of the sad, unfortunate souls who haven't read the actual book yet....yeah, I am a horrible person..) I've been searching for a good civil war romance novel and I believe I've found it in this sensation of a novel. It gets high marks from various sites and reviews and I can't wait till it arrives on my doorstep!

My Thoughts: Anne Mallory is one of those authors I haven't gotten to yet, but I know I will love. From her gorgeous covers (albeit, this particular one isn't my fav), to her enticing blurbs, Miss Mallory has me itching my a six year old with the chicken pox to read what she has out. I will definitely be adding her titles to my future book purchases, and 'Three Nights Of Sin' will be one of the first! I like how the plot looks like it will set up and I can't wait to see how far Mariette can take her liaison with Gabriel before her heart takes over!

My Thoughts: I wanted to stray away from the usual suspects for this week's Recommendation. I dummy-proof searched "Best Historical Romance Novels", and came up with lists and web pages filled with wonderfully titles yet to be discovered by me. "The Pride Of Lions" was among the ranks and I just HAD to explore. On it's amazon listing, there were lots of positive feedback and wonderful 5 star reviews. The synopsis had me at go and the except was truly enjoyable. Having never read a Marsha Canham novel, I can't attest to her writing style, but reviewers far and wide have good things to say about this book.
I look forward to adding it to an amazon.com cart very soon and finding a new author to gush over!

My Thoughts: After falling in love with this author while reading 'The Most Wicked Of Sins', I also fell in love with the Seven Deadly Sins. The Sinclair family instantly piqued my interest and references to the first book in this series (To Sin With A Stranger) has me itching to read! The plot of a wager about a woman and a grand seduction has been done countless times in historicals before, but I think Kathryn Caskie will put her spin on a beloved plot and give us something to cheer for. I've read some mixed reviews regarding this book; some people thought that the 'Sins' weren't 'Sinny' enough, others though the plot lacked pizazz, some thought it was a stupendous read. Decide for yourself though, it might just work for you. Check out this book if you haven't already and look out for new additions to the Seven Deadly Sins series! I know I will!

My Thoughts: Sometimes, saying it simple is saying it best: This book was a great read! I enjoyed seeing the characters interact and battle with themselves as they tried to achieve separate goals while their paths kept mingling together. I LOVED reading about brother Julian (his book,'The Vampire Who Loved Me', is next in the series), who is gorgeous and has a secret all his own, as he fights his attraction to the drama queen younger sister, Portia. I also appreciated that Medeiros didn't go into TOO much 'fluff' about her world of Vampires. This didn't read like a paranormal romance with extra details and that other world feel. There wasn't any brotherhood of Vampires preforming meticulous rituals for ten pages or scenes that tried to convince us that this was some strange world we know nothing about. It felt like fact and really read like a historical with vampire elements; and since I wasn't looking to read a paranormal when I picked this up, I was pleased. It was light at times, had dark elements in others, and really showcase Medeiros' top quality writing style. Get spooked and fall in love with this vampire historical.

My Thoughts: Depending on where you've started on your expedition through Lisa Kleypas' illustrious historical romance works, 'Dreaming Of You' is a title you are bound to hear about from any number of sources and is usually followed by a sigh or a full-on fan girl squeal of delight. I believe I was about 10 or so books into my personal expedition when I finally broke down and had to see what all the buzz was about. I can tell you one thing; The hype around this book barley scratches the surface. I feel HARD for this book and that hansom and dangerous Derek Craven is officially baby daddy #626 ;). This gem of a novel by Kleypas is sweet and tender, harsh and raw, and everything in between that reminds you what it's like to read damn good literature.

My Thoughts: This book has been suggested to me ever since I first started interacting with other people in the reader's of romance novels community. To receive the level of praise and acclaim as 'Whitney, My Love' has achieved, it's no wonder I salivate whenever I come across it on yet another web page.
The length of this book might scare a few people off- Visiting Judith's website, and stopping by the book's info page, it features the 1985 first edition (Hardcover) which has 592 pages. On amazon.com, it lists a re-released 2000 edition of the book at 736 pages, and another 1991 re-release edition at an even 400 pages. But something tells me this is the kind of book that you take a chance on and get blown away.
I am sure to catch one of my seasonal colds any day now, and you better believe this book will be on transit to my doorstep just as quickly to help me past the solitary hours. With over 449 reviews on amazon.com (and scores of mentions all over the blogosphere), this is one beloved book! I can't wait to get my hands on it!

My Thoughts- I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BOOK! 'The Secret Diaries of Miranda Cheever' is one of my favorite Julia Quinn novels. Many reviewers pointed out the inconsistency of the characters and the annoying back-and-forth of the hero's feelings. I really hate books that go back-and-forth, but this JQ novel had plenty of high points and sweet moments to make this 'grievance' bearable. (Call me a sadistic) I loved the fall from grace and painful past the dashing Nigel Bevelstoke had to go through. And also appreciated how Miranda helped him back to the right path. So cute how she's always been in love with him and she finally gets her chance- or the opportunity to MAKE her chance. It was a beautiful story(with an ending that will make you want to cry), and I am planning to re-read soon! I can't bring myself to be too constructive or give any other reason why I recommend this book other than through the inadequacy of words like: Great. Super. AMAZING. It did it for me, and hopefully it will do it for you too. I'll get a review up soon. But in the meanwhile, do yourself a favor and check it out!

My Thoughts: This read was recommended to me by a very special friend and follower, Rhonda Jones. After reading the blurb, I can see why she offered this title up to me when I asked for some suggestions. Rhonda told me, "I liked this for the reasons of opposites attract.".
