Time to Celebrate! The Final Release! The Rake and the Recluse: Redux by Jenn LeBlanc

A year ago the world had no idea who I was. Today, the same is still mostly true, except for a smallish group of dedicated readers who managed, mostly through word of mouth, to find my little book.

The past year has been the wackiest roller coaster of my life. I went from photojournalist to author, winning a first place award for my work on the Gulf Oil Spill the next week hosting my book release party, both of those at the Denver Press Club. It was absolutely surreal.

Last summer I befriended a bunch of ladies on twitter; writers, readers, bloggers, and crossovers. I begged, nagged, prodded and bribed and finally convinced three of them, the Pervy Trinity, to come to RomCon in Denver with me and hang out so I wasn’t alone at this big con, all by my unknown self.

We caused quite a stir, impromptu photo shoots on the two storey waterfall in the lobby, attacking Walmart, Chipotle, Cherry Creek, and downtown Denver. We all met some of our favorite authors, some of us climbed them, some of us screamed at them in parking lots. It was overwhelming, and I miss the crazy Trinity.

We are all still around. Doing our things, causing a ruckus coast to coast, but I will never forget how important the readers and bloggers were to me last year. I would be NOWHERE without them.

Now I pass this dream of a book on to all of you. It is out of my hands. It is yours. Take are of my guys please, let them flourish in your thoughts and dreams, care for them, love them and share them with others. It’s up to you to keep them alive.

I miss them already and like a complete geek, I spent the day before my release half in tears wondering if my men would be loved as much as they have been by me.

But now I’m rambling. So I want to share just a few of my favorite images from the books. There are so many, but I’ve chosen a few I think you’ll...appreciate.

Sorry, you want the full image this one is only available in the book.

Thank you. Thank you thank you thank you. To everyone who read the original, and everyone who will read REDUX. Thank you.

I am humbled.
Jenn

Sealed With a Kiss: Jenn LeBlanc + Giveaway

Jenn LeBlanc

Jenn is a novelist and photographer born, raised and living in the lee of the great Rocky Mountains. Her illustrated Novel THE RAKE AND THE RECLUSE was originally released in February of 2011 to rave reviews and snarky comments. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!! I’m not sure what to say but what I already said because I’m not sure you’ll start here or there!! ;) So here we go again...feel free to skip my maundering and get to the love if you like.

I have to say my holidays have changed over the years, of course as a kid it was Christmas, and then when I first had my girls it was Easter because it’s spring and the egg hunt and pretty dresses and the rest.

But these days my favorite holiday is Valentine’s Day because I just love LOVE. And it isn’t just a couples day, it’s a day to celebrate everyone you love, we’re taught that in elementary school when we make little fancy bags and boxes and are told by our teachers to bring Valentines for everyone in the class, even the boys that pull your pigtails on the playground.

Well, the tables are turned as you grow up and while nobody is pulling my pigtails, I do still love sharing Valentines with everyone. So here is my Valentine for all of you. A very special one, from Perry to his lady love. I can’t tell you her name, it has been a closely guarded secret, but TODAY that secret is out in SUBMISSION : The Rake And The Recluse : Part Five!!!

I’m very excited because this has been a long road to SUBMISSION. I won’t talk about it too much, but my novel THE RAKE AND THE RECLUSE came out last February, and now it has been completely re-edited, with all new content and images (it is illustrated) and the final chapters including Perry’s Story.

You will find links and fun stuff...later, let’s get to the letter!!

Release Day Interview...in reverse! With Jenn LeBlanc & Maire Claremont (+ Giveaway)

So you guys know how I usually invite authors on the blog on their release day for an interview, right? Well, TODAY is Jenn LeBlanc's release day; but instead of ME interviewing HER, SHE will be interviewing someone ELSE! A new author to me, but sure to be a fav, Maire Claremont! This is part of Jenn's "The Wicked Blog Tour", so sit back at your computer desk, relax, and enjoy the mayhem!!

Getting Down to Business:
Who's Jenn LeBlanc?
"Jenn has several constants in life that define her: Colorado, Canon, CJ, kids and curls.
Born and raised in a household of other people's children in this beautiful state- she never left. She started her own family, got used to the curls, went to college, built a CJ, and started a business, all with a camera in hand.
She always had another passion; storytelling born from daydreams and nightmares. Her fingers were never as quick as her mind, and no amount of practice got them there, so it was difficult and frustrating to have this inside. When her second daughter was born her inherent traits kept Jenn pinned-- her only escape the keyboard. Spending her days in parenting chat rooms she got highly adept with one-handed typing and she can still type just about as fast with one hand as she can with two. It's a great talent to have when engrossed in a scene and in need of a hit of caffeine. She recently finished her first novel but quickly realized: she was born a photographer.
From the realization that someone ELSE would be shooting the cover of her book her control-freak took over. What started as an easy cover shoot ballooned into this completely new kind of media, designed specifically for digital book readers.
Jenn lives and thrives off chaos and the constant flow of the creative process. She wears shorts and flip-flops year-round --much to the chagrin of her friends and family-- and she is currently working on the illustrations for her second novel.

What has she released lately?

TODAY is the official release day of Jenn's latest installment to her six part serial series: The Rake and The Recule: REDUX. Totally remastered and remagnificent-ified and broken up into the six-part serial e-novel it was meant to be. Did I mention it is FULLY ILLUSTRATED. Your eReader will thank you later ;)

Six weeks ago, PART 1 was release (Get part 1: here), and then 4 weeks ago, Jenn stopped by with the lovely Delilah Marvelle for an interview and released PART 2! Then, she was back with Elise Rome and the Third installment of her novel (get part 3: here). And now, it's time for another interview to celebrate the release of PART 4!

A woman out of time.
A man stifled by propriety.
A nemesis determined to take her away.
A brother to the rescue.

How will a powerful Duke deal with a woman who doesn't know her place? How will a woman used to the 21st century survive in time where she is considered property?

THE RAKE AND THE RECLUSE Part FOUR is full of revelations, celebrations, protestations and one surprise that will have you holding your breath for the final chapters. What has Perry done?

Francine Larrabee woke up on the wrong side of the century. She was fairly certain she went to sleep in her own comfy bed, but she doesn’t quite seem to be there now. Only adding to her problems is that she has no voice, is constantly being glowered at by a large, stunning man who is obsessed with propriety, and she is apparently betrothed to another horrid little man, determined to ruin her, and any other girls that get in his way.
How does she find herself in the past, when she couldn’t even find herself in her present? How does a self sufficient businesswoman survive in a time when women were still considered property for the whole of their lives and what is she going to do with this man who draws her to him so fiercely.

On the 4th Day of Christmas My True Lord Gave To Me...with Jenn LeBlanc (+ Giveaway)

4 Horny Lords with Jenn LeBlanc

Jenn LeBlanc has several constants in life that define her:
Colorado, Canon, CJ, kids and curls.
Born and raised in a household of other people's children in this beautiful state —very nearly with a camera in hand— she never left. She talked about escaping; but that never happened. She started her own family, got used to the curls, went to college, built a CJ, and started a business, all with a camera in hand.
She always had another passion. Storytelling, born from daydreams and nightmares. Her fingers were not as quick as her mind, and no amount of practice got them there. Then her second daughter was born, and her inherent traits kept Jenn pinned to the spot, her only escape the keyboard. Spending her days in parenting chat rooms, she can still type fast with just one hand.
Jenn lives and thrives off chaos and the constant flow of the creative process. She is currently working on illustrations for another novel.

My name is Jenn and I am the author and photographer behind THE RAKE AND THE RECLUSE, an ILLUSTRATED romance. Yes. Illustrated, with photographs. The most exciting thing happens TODAY...TODAY!!! And I get to share it here with ALL OF YOU which makes me so happy because Rita is one of the most wonderful and amazing bloggers out there. She has been such a great support and friend, and I can't wait to hang out with her again like we did last year at RomCon. Did she share the picture I took of her with Derek? Perhaps if you nag her she will. ;) (Rita: Never. But pretty sure the readers can find it by googleing: "crazed pervy fan goes into cardiac arrest when met with the object of her visual fascination")

Background:
This scene focuses on the Rake, Perry, and his friend Ender. It takes place soon before his brother, the esteemed Duke of Roxleigh, the hero from THE RAKE AND THE RECLUSE, arrives in London after nearly trampling a girl with his horses. Ender will be appearing in a new book set to release Spring 2012 titled BETWEEN A FRIEND AND FOREVER.
