The Guest Post
Good morning! I’m thrilled to be at the very lovely and most informative site of Not Another Romance Blog. Thank you for having me here to talk about my latest Regency romance A Gentleman Never Tells.

Have you ever been caught doing something that you shouldn’t be doing? Maybe filing your nails at the office when you should be filing your boss’s important papers? Or maybe reading a spicy hot and fabulous romance book when you should be making dinner? No matter what it is, no one likes to get caught, but that’s exactly what happens to Lord Brentwood and Lady Gabrielle in A Gentleman Never Tells.

Viscount Brentwood is minding his own business, walking his mother’s Pomeranian in Hyde Park early one morning when a lovely and alluring young lady, walks out of the mist and into his arms. Of course, this is all very much to his liking until they are caught, and he finds out that she is not only another man’s fiancé, she also happens to be the daughter of a powerful duke. And if that wasn’t enough trouble for the Viscount to be in the middle of, he’s lost his mother’s dog, too.

Lady Gabrielle is dependable, sensible, and obedient. That’s why she had accepted the practical, unemotional marriage her formidable father had arranged for her. That’s what those of her kind did—or so she had always believed until early one morning, when her defenses were down, she threw all of her upbringing away for the chance to spend a few passionate moments in the arms of a handsome stranger.

But kissing the stranger didn’t free Lady Gabrielle. She only thwarted the shackles of one arranged betrothal to immediately find herself stuck in yet another forced engagement. The strong-willed lady isn’t going to give up her freedom so easily. She has plans that her father and Lord Brentwood don’t know about and scandal and mishaps becomes the order of the day while Gabrielle and Brent scour London to find a notorious dog thief.

So getting caught kissing a beautiful, clever, and courageous lady embroils Lord Brentwood into more intrigue than he thought possible. Now open up and tell me something you’ve been caught doing that you shouldn’t have been doing and you’ll have a chance to win one of two copies of A Gentleman Never Tells. Good luck!

  5. Hi Amelia,

Thank you for such an enjoyable interview and for giving us all a chance to read an excerpt of "A Gentleman Never Tells".

I loved reading the excerpt. I absolutely adore and love a good love story. I'm literally chomping at the bit to read this story as it contains everything that I love, passion, intrigue and romance. I want to be carried away to another time and place where people lived, loved, and were finding their way to each other.

Actually, I do have a question for you:- Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?

Congratulations on your new release and, for this awesome opportunity.

  9. Amelia -

The first book I read that you wrote was A Dash of Scandal but my favorite books were all three in ther series A Rogue's Dynasty! Who could possibly choose a favorite with the wonderful characters in all three books! The wait between releases seemed endless waiting to find out what would happen next.

Because of the way you develope your characters and the wonderful discriptions of the places where they occur I had ever visited somewhere and knew immediately that one of your stories needed to be set there?

I can't wait to read A Dash of Scandal and it sounds like the perfect "summer read".

Hopefully there will be many more books to come and it's only the beginning of another great series!

  11. I think it is so interesting that during the Regency era, women were forced into marriages because they were "ruined". It's such a strange concept. This book sounds good. I like the idea that Lady Gabrielle just keeps getting into trouble. Thanks for the giveaway.

  12. Hi Amelia!

Congrats on your new release! :-)
    Pretty awesome cover! :-D

My "caught" moment was pretty embarassing. I received a gift from my MIL, I told her how lovely it was. It was a god-awful vase. Hubby said just take it back or tell her that I didn't like it, I couldn't, I didn't want to hurt her feelings.
A week after that I couldn't stand it anymore, so I took it back. Guess who was standing in the return line next to me? Yep, you guessed it, my MIL!!
    Talk about being busted!

Thank you for stopping by NARB today and for the giveaway.

  14. I do tend to get caught up in things (especially reading a romance or watching a romance/adventure movie) when I should be getting other things done. But these kinds of books are a wonderful escape and mental health break.

  15. I think we can all sympathize with getting caught doing something you shouldn't. For me, it's always reading at work. Especially now that I have the Kindle app on my iPhone, it's almost impossible to resist. This sounds like a good story with some humor to it also. I've downloaded Never a Bride and I'm looking forward to reading it.

  16. I love the concept of this story line, which so into the whole idea of you never know what is going to happen in your life.

For me reading is one of those things I do when I should be doing other things. That or checking up on all of the blogs I read. Google reader makes it too easy!
