Author Interview and Giveaway with Anna Campbell

Today, it is my esteemed pleasure to share with you guys this great author interview I did with one of my favorite authors. I started my journey through this authors works with the book 'My Reckless Surrender', which I remarked in my review as being "beautifully written and diabolically addicting". She proves my statement can apply to more of her books with her impressive latest release. Let's find out more, shall we? Without further adieu, please welcome my special guest:
Author Bio:
"Anna Campbell, always a voracious reader, decided as a child that she wanted to be a writer. Once she discovered the wonderful world of romance novels, she knew exactly what she wanted to write. Her first historical romance for Avon was the multi-award winning CLAIMING THE COURTESAN. CLAIMING THE COURTESAN was followed by another multi-award winning Regency noir, UNTOUCHED. Her third book for Avon, TEMPT THE DEVIL, debuted in January 2009 and her fourth, CAPTIVE OF SIN, was a November 2009 release. CAPTIVE OF SIN was chosen among Publishers Weekly's Top 100 books of 2009. Her next release, in June 2010, is MY RECKLESS SURRENDER, the story of a dangerous seduction in late Regency London. Anna's books have been translated in Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Japan, Turkey, Thailand, Indonesia, Russia and Norway. When she's not writing passionate, intense stories featuring gorgeous Regency heroes and the women who are their destiny, Anna loves to travel, especially in the United Kingdom, and listen to all kinds of music. About the Author:

Why I love a strong man
Full disclaimer: I am married to a geek. He’s in great shape, but he’s not exactly lifting cars with one finger. But what I love to read about in my romance novels isn’t always the same as what I have in real life. What would be the point of reading if it was?

Happy Blogoversary: N.A.R.B through the years...erm, I mean year ;)

You're so sweet, Henry!!
Okay, so I know you guys must be sick to death of hearing me say the words Blogoversary- I promise this is the last post =)
I just want to give you guys a little look at what this fab year has meant to me and where it all started.

Exactly one year ago to this day, I had made my first post on this blog. 'The Welcome Post' was where I speeled on and on about how excited I was to be starting my blog. I called it a "little journalism bout", but had no real idea what it would become. I never thought a year later I would've made some real accomplishments and found 'my own' on the blogging community. It mind boggles me all the time!

For posterity's sake, here are the blog's 'firsts' *g*:

Extreme Makeover: Blog Edition - Check Out My New Blog Design!

"Bus Driver, MOVE THAT BUS!"
Beautiful, ain't it? I am so excited that today marks a year of blogging and what better way to celebrate than to have a blog makeover?
Last month, I won a blog design giveaway by Barbara at Happily Forever After and now it's time for the big reveal.
I know my finicky nit-picking must have driven Barb BONKERS, but the end result is undeniable! Just look at it! This design is something straight from my dreams and it's all thanks to Barbara!
I suggest you head over to her blog and follow because not only does she make fabulous designs (when she finds time, she makes designs and posts them on her blog for whoever wants to buy it) but she also writes wonderful book reviews (and happens to be as in love with historicals as I)!
Obviously, I am overwhelmed with pride (and my perfectionists complex), so I'll be tinkering with the widgets and pages a bit as I settle into my new look. Please excuse any weird positioning of side bar items and stuff for the next few days as I get things 'just right'.

While you're looking around, be sure to enter the Blogoversary "Build A Book Giveaway"-giveaway where you can choose the 5 out of 9 books for your prize PLUS tea and chocolates.

And stay tuned for the rest of the Blogoversary celebration!

Enter my Blogoversary "Build A Book Giveaway"-Giveaway

Happy Birthday To N.A.R.B!
The Blogoversary is officially on April 14th, but why not get a head start gifting out goodies?
The books you can possibly win!
For my blog's first birthday, I've decided to keep it small (due to limited time & resources, ect) but I felt it wouldn't be right to let the 14th come and go and not celebrate. So in honor of all these positive vibes I am feeling at reaching this milestone, I am hosting my first 'Build A Book Giveaway' Giveaway as a part of the festivities.

What in name of Lord Byron is that, you may ask? Well, I've got a few brand new books (and two, once-read, great condition books) lying about; some that just happen to hold a special meaning to me and some that are just really good but I haven't gotten to. They range in genre from historical, to paranormal, to contemporary, and YA. Since I know lots of you out there like to genre-whore yourselves out (kidding), I figured I put them all up for grabs and give one winner 5 books!

"But what if I've read one or have some in my TBR pile?"
Shut up Annie Asks-a-lot and keep on reading. The winner will receive THEIR CHOICE of 5 out of the 9 books I have available with the option to exchange one of their five picks for a kindle-version (gifted) of a book of their choosing (at a $7.99 value).

BUT WAIT! There's more!
I've also got a nice box of Twinings of London Black Tea Variety Pack (20 ct.) to throw in with the books. Get your Earls Grey on!

And Wait! there's MORE more!
AND I'll pick up either some Lindor Truffles or a nice bar of premium chocolates to throw in with that! (The brand (might have to sub with Hersey Bliss) depends on what's in stock at the store since I'll purchase right before shipping)

Wanna see them???

'My One And Only'

Alarm bells ringing with every turn, Harper buckles up, pulls her adorable Jack Russell-Chihuahua mix Coco (her soulmate) onto her lap, and keeps repeating her mantra, "sometimes it takes time for your heart to learn what your head already knows." As they work their way from the wild west of Montana to Manhattan's busy skyline and their first home together, Harper finds herself wondering if maybe this time, her head should be listening to her heart. "

Book Trailer:

‘My One and Only’ by Kristan Higgins –Review-

Read and excerpt: here
Charming, emotionally-charged, and quirky as all get out; My One And Only was a heartfelt and exhilarating read! I started the book late at night so I couldn’t read it straight through and that messed with me big time; I was so anxious to read more of the story that I couldn’t stop myself from getting distracted every 20  minutes and day dreaming about how the book would play out from where I left off. You’ll need the Jaws of Life to pry yourself away from Higgins' latest. The characters worm their way into your heart before you even have a chance to say “Holy Shitake!” This one is definitely a keeper!

A Mother's Love, An Inspiration: Guest Post and Giveaway with Kat Martin

The fabulous Kat Martin is guest blogging today to tell us about a subject close to her heart- which also happens to be the inspiration behind her upcoming release (out April 5th) entitled 'A Song For My Mother'. Without further adieu, please welcome our special guest:
About the Author:
"For New York Times bestselling author Kat Martin, a career in real estate led her down the road to romance. Through real estate, Kat found her own perfect match--her husband, Western author Larry Jay Martin.
"We were on opposing sides of a transaction--I represented the seller and he represented the buyer," Kat recalls.
A short time after the two became acquainted, Larry asked her to read an unpublished manuscript of an historical western he'd written. Kat fell in love with both the book and the author! "It was quite a romantic story," she admits. "I'd still like to see it get published." Then, after doing some editing for her future husband, she thought she'd try her own hand at writing.
Kat moved on to become the bestselling author of over fifty historical and contemporary romance novels. To date, 12 million copies of her books are in print, and she's been published around the globe, including Germany, Norway, Sweden, China, Korea, Bulgaria, Russia, England, Estonia, Lithuania, South Africa, Italy, Poland, Thailand, Portugal, Turkey, The Slovak Republic, Spain, Argentina, Estonia, Czech Republic and Greece.
When she's not writing, Kat also enjoys skiing and traveling, particularly to Europe. Currently, she's busy writing her next book."
